IL COMPLESSO CARATTERISTICO MUSICALE
"Gli Scapati" nasce nel 1959 come complesso
folkloristico della Societa' del Carnevale Sangiovannese.
Attualmente si compone di 70 elementi con strumenti
musicali, caratteristici , tamburi e majoreetts. Dalla
sua costituzione ad oggi ha visto espandersi sempre piu'
l'eco delle proprie prestazioni e la meritata fama di cui
gode. Si puo' dire che sulla scia dei maggiori successi,
non vi e' in Italia una grande manifestazione
folkloristica dalla quale non pervenga a GLI SCAPATI un
simpatico invito di partecipazione. Anche all 'estero il
Complesso ha sempre saputo distinguersi fra i numerosi
partecipanti. ( Francia, Spagna, Austria, Svizzera,
Ungheria) Naturalmente non e' possibile riassumere qui
una galleria completa di tutte le esibizioni del
Complesso Caratteristico Muicale GLI SCAPATI, che in
questo periodo di vita ha compiuto un cammino lungo e
prodigioso. Le tappe di questo cammino hanno nomi
significativi, italiani ed esteri, che dimostrano come la
fama di un ottimo Complesso abbia valicato felicemente i
confini angusti di una regione e anche quelli piu' vasti
nazionali. Oggi, in molte citta' italiane ed europee, il
nome del Complesso Caratteristico GLI SCAPATI,significa
garanzia di divertimento, alta esecuzione, originalita'
di prestazioni .Comitati, Enti Turistici, Organizzatori
di manifestazioni folkloristiche di primo piano, sanno
ormai che la presenza degli SCAPATI alle loro feste e' il
condimento di brio essenziale per caratterizzarle con
tono singolare, in ogni stagione dell'anno. The typical Italian band "Gli
Scapati" was established in 1959, at present it
consists of 70 members including players, drum majorettes
and majorettes. In about 40 years "Gli Scapati"

give full details of the displays of our band, which has
gone far and its stages have both Italian and foreign
names showing that the fame of our band has gone beyond
the Tuscan boundaries as well as the Italian ones. Today
our band is a symbol of amusement, high performance and
originality. Committes, Tourist Boards, Organizers of
first rate folklore displays are aware that the presence
of our band is the essential element to give their
festivals a lively tone at any time of the year.
